On June 30 and July 1, 2001, Grandmaster Vince Lacey, Sifu Shane Lacey and several of their top students presented a Buk Sing Choy Lay Fut Seminar in Perth, West Australia. They had just returned from the Singapore Choy Lay Fut Fraternal Reunion, and had been invited by Sifu George Michielsen and Sifu Jason Lacey to present this superb seminar.

The seminar was held at the twenty thousand square foot Balcatta branch of the Chinese Kung Fu and Tai Chi Academy, and was attended by over one hundred and sixty eager participants. The attendees ranged from beginners in the martial arts, to many advanced students from the Balcatta and O'Connor schools and others from different martial arts disciplines.

The two days were action packed and informative, and everyone was in awe of the Snake Fist Form demonstrated by Sifu Shane Lacey. The history of Choy Lay Fut, as presented by Grandmaster Vince Lacey, held the entire audience spellbound for over an hour and a half.

All in all, everyone enjoyed the seminar, learned many new techniques and spoke of when the next seminar would be!
