four_generations

Pictured here are four generations in the Buk Sing Choy Lay Fut Kung Fu style.
Lai Chou, who is a second generation Buk Sing Master, learned from the founder (first generation) of the Buk Sing branch of Choy Lay Fut, Tarm Sarm.

Kong Hing is a third generation Buk Sing Master, as he learned Buk Sing Choy Lay Fut from his father, Kong On, who was a second generation Master and learned from the Buk Sing founder, Tarm Sarm.

Lay Wing Sung (Vince Lacey) is a fourth generation Buk Sing Master, as he learned Buk Sing Choy Lay Fut from Kong Hing. Lay Wing Sung also learned from Lai Hung, another third generation Buk Sing Master.

Lay Shun Lay (Shane Lacey) is a fifth generation Master, as he learned Buk Sing Choy Lay Fut from his father, Lay Wing Sung.

These photos are quite unique in that they all show the “Leen Warn (Wahn)” charp chui. This is a cyclic, or continuous stabbing punch, utilizing the “long arm” techniques that the Buk Sing Choy Lay Fut style is famous for.

Both Lay Wing Sung (Vince Lacey) and Lay Shun Lay (Shane Lacey) teach at our Academy, the Buk Sing Choy Lay Fut Kung Fu Academy of Fremont, California.
